The 2006 Nebbiolo d’Alba Occhetti is an attractive, full-bodied Nebbiolo with tons of depth and persistence in its dark fruit. Suggestions of menthol, spices and flowers add further complexity. This delicious Nebbiolo is yet another important wine from Piedmont’s Roero district. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2021. I was very impressed with the wines I tasted from Prunotto this year.
