The 2006 Semillon was aged in seasoned French oak. Light gold-colored, it offers aromas of citrus, spring flowers, and melon. This leads to a creamy textured wine with ripe melon flavors buttressed by crisp acidity. The finish is medium-long and refreshing. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Amavi Cellars is the sister winery to the better known Pepper Bridge Winery. It shares the same winemaker, Jean-Francois Pellet, and the same estate vineyards (Seven Hills, Pepper Bridge, and Les Collines) but from different vineyard blocks.
