The proprietary wine called Siena (usually a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot) has evolved from a two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine in 1991, to a 70% Sangiovese wine in 1994 (the finest Siena to date). The 1992 Siena builds on beginning effort with attractive cherry fruit, good ripeness, medium body, and a spicy finish.
