Taken from a new barrel, the 2013 Nuits Saint Georges Villages has a confit-like bouquet with raspberry jam and kirsch, mineral scents just behind. The palate is medium-bodied, quite fleshy in the mouth with supple tannins. The fruit spectrum edges closer to black on the finish that has more persistence than the Vosne-Romanée Village at this stage. This should be afforded two or three years in bottle.
