The Nuits St.-Georges has a good color, a charming, elegant berry fruitiness, medium body, and cellaring potential until 1991-1995. The young Emanuel Rouget, nephew of Henri Jayer, began making the wines of Jayer in 1987. He also has several small parcels himself, from which he produces these wines. They are not filtered and are bottled directly from the barrel.
