The 2001 Falerno del Massico Rosso (the bronze label – there is also a mustard-colored label with the same name for the second wine of the house), with rich and smoky aromas of berry fruit, raisins, tar, and truffles, possesses a powerful and concentrated palate, dense and chewy texture, with important notes of ultra-ripe fruit, underbrush, and warm lava rock, and exceptional length and resonance on the finish.
