The estate’s 2004 Falerno del Massico Bronzo (80% Aglianico, 20% Piedirosso) reveals more intensity in its fruit, along with structure to match. This is a beautiful, seamless wine that delivers terrific richness in its dark fruit, along with notes of new leather, flowers and spices that add further complexity. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019. I was delighted with the two wines I tasted from Masseria Felicia, a property located in Falerno, where wines inspired the Roman poets to sing their praises several thousand years ago. Masseria Felicia works predominantly with Aglianico and Piedirosso, two of Campania’s thoroughbred grapes.Importer: Montecastelli Selections, New York, NY; tel. (212) 414-4898
