The 2001 Vacqueyras Les Genestes is a gorgeous blend of 52% Grenache and 48% Syrah. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by a heady perfume of raspberry jam, black cherries, spice box, licorice, and incense. This full-bodied, pure, lusty yet complex 2001 combines power with elegance. Good underlying vibrant acidity provides additional fragrance. The finish lasts for 30+ seconds.
