Even better is the 2003 Vacqueyras Les Genestes, which has firmer and drier tannins than the 2004 as well as a hint of austerity, but the wine is much denser, richer, and full-bodied with notes of Provencal herbs mixed with creme de cassis, kirsch, and spice box. Give it 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 7-8 years. Importers: Daniel Johnnes, Jeroboam Imports, New York, NY; tel. (212) 625-2505, Dionysus, Houston, TX; tel.
