Robert Drouhin allowed me to re-taste this wine that I had originally reviewed in Issue #111. This wine (originally rated 90-92 after bottling merits a 91) has a healthy medium-to-dark ruby/purple color and a spicy, fresh, and black cherry-laced nose. This medium-to-full-bodied, refined, and well-concentrated wine has an expansive character that reveals blackberry, cassis, and stone-like flavors that can be found throughout its extremely long and precise finish. It can be drunk now or held through 2006.
