This luxury cuvee produced from a single-vineyard is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. It is made in an exceptionally restrained, polite style that is meant to emulate a Bordeaux, but may go too far in terms of delicacy and subtlety. It is an attractive wine, with a dark ruby color, and a moderately intense nose of red/black currants, and spicy new oak. In the mouth, it is elegant and medium-bodied, with good richness, moderate tannin, and a pure finish. Subtlety is a worthy goal in winemaking, but this example may err too far in that direction.
