The 2001 Qertos, which is a carbonic-macerated Rioja, is an excellent bargain for a wine from this prestigious appellation. Soft and fruity, offering hints of tobacco, dried herbs, and earth, this plum/ruby-colored effort is medium-bodied, elegant, and fresh. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
