The unfiltered 2005 Reserva is 90% Tempranillo with 5% each of Graciano and Mazuelo which spent 20 months in American oak. Purple colored, it displays an alluring nose of cedar, tobacco, incense, and assorted black fruits with some tertiary notes from the extended bottle aging. On the palate this medium-bodied effort has a solid core of spicy fruit, enough structure to evolve for another 2-3 years, excellent balance, and a medium-long finish.
