The 2004 Seleccion Familiar was sourced from 60- to 75-year-old estate vineyards and aged for 18 months in new French and Hungarian oak before bottling without fining or filtration. Purple-colored with a ruby rim, it offers Pinot Noir-like aromas of cherry and wild raspberry. This is followed by an elegant, silky wine with plenty of finesse and length but a bit lacking in concentration. It can be enjoyed over the next 8 years.
