The extremely limited production (98 cases) 1998 Chardonnay Cuvee Agustina sees 100% new oak. For all intents and purposes it is a selection of the best barrels from the Richard Dinner Vineyard. This is a concentrated, intense, full-bodied effort with the ostentatiousness of the Russian River Chardonnay, and the minerality and structure of the Richard Dinner Vineyard. It is powerful in the mouth, with a Corton-Charlemagne-like earthiness intermixed with notes of apricots, hazelnuts, smoky tropical fruit, and buttery popcorn. Drink it over the next 4-6 years. Tel.
