This large Chilean winery has different quality levels, but I believe this to be one of their top-of-the-line cuvees. Certainly it is among the best wines I have recently tasted from Concha Y Toro. I was impressed with the rich, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Both are deeply colored, concentrated wines, with more extract and richness than most current releases from Chile possess. The Merlot is a joy to drink given its up-front, rich, intense nose, and chewy, fat, coffee, berry-like fruitiness. This wine should provide ideal drinking over the next 2-5 years.
