Mocali’s 2010 Rosso di Montalcino is a big wine bursting with dark red cherries, plums, spices and French oak. The mid-weight structure is quite classic, but it does not appear there is enough richness in the fruit to stand up to the oak. Admittedly, that is a small critique at this level.
