This producer's reputation for high quality wine is well-deserved. It is an authoritatively flavored, powerful wine that combines high fruit extraction with admirable purity and elegance. It possesses full body, an opaque purple color, a big, impressive bouquet of black-cherries and cassis, excellent delineation, and a beefy, rich finish. The wine is accessible because of its super-ripe fruit, but there is plenty of tannin underlying the layers of extract.
