The 2009 Coma Blanca, a blend of 50% Garnacha Blanca and 50% Macabeo, was barrel-fermented, went through full malolactic, and was aged for 6 months in French oak. It exhibits an already complex (and sophisticated) nose of pain grille, mineral, melon, stone, and tropical fruits. Layered, round, and with outstanding volume, this well-proportioned white is reminiscent of top-level white Hermitage. It can be approached now but is likely to evolve for several years.
