Pertimali's cask-aged 2006 Rosso di Montalcino captures the essence of Sangiovese from Montalcino in its generous black cherries, underbrush, smoke, tar and licorice. A powerful, serious Rosso, it offers great length as well as superb overall harmony. All of Pertimali's Montalcino vineyards are Brunello designated and this Rosso exhibits all of the hallmarks of the estate's top wines in miniature. It is a terrific effort from Pertimali.
