The 2005 Franciacorta Millesimato Selezione Brut opens to a deep, off-gold color and mature aromas of fresh brioche, dried apricot, hazelnut, lemon zest, pressed rose and a touch of white peppercorn. The intensity of the fizz fades fast, but the wine follows through with medium build and fresh acidity that awakens the palate.
