A near replica of the ’07, which was a fabulous wine that required cellaring. So does this ’08. It’s layered and complex in deep, black and blue berry and fruit essence, especially the ripest blackberries, yet with tantalizing hints of earth, minerals and the green olive note you often find in the best cool-climate Cabernets. The tannins are young and profound. Need time. Give it until after 2014 to begin to come around. ——S.H.(11/1/2011)—— 94
