There are two white wines in the current collection; I am unable to recommend the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Gran Terroir but the 2009 Chardonnay Gran Terroir is outstanding. The wine was native yeast fermented and raised sur lie in stainless steel, went through malolactic fermentation, and remained in tank for 8-12 months. It offers up enticing aromas of green apple, white peach, and stony minerals leading to a crisp, Chablis-like wine with outstanding concentration, balance, and length. It is likely to drink well for another 5-6 years. The Vina Agustinos wines are from the cool region of Bio Bio located 500 km south of Santiago and 50 km from the coast with a significant influence from the sea.Importer: JW Deutsch & Son, White Plains, NY; tel.
