The 2017 Fiano di Avellino Béchar does a terrific job of showcasing the grape and its territory. The wine (aged only in stainless steel) shows a finely knit texture with balanced aromas of pear, white peach and Golden Delicious apple. The bouquet is distinguished by the intensity and the varietal purity of its aromas. This was a hot and dry vintage that seems to have squeezed out the grape's fruity aromas, down to the very last drop. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
