A wine that needs another year or so of bottle age is the 2009 Cairanne l’Exigence. The least evolved and most backward of these offerings, it displays aromas of new saddle leather, earthy/underbrush, black currants and black cherries. This structured, masculine, full-bodied wine should evolve for a decade, but some patience will be required. Not to be confused with the Domaine de Boissan, Domaine Boisson is owned by two brothers, Alain, who oversees the Cros de Romet property and Bruno, who is in charge of the Domaine Boisson cuvees.Importer: Alain Junguenet, Wines of France, Mountainside, NJ; tel.
