Last Tasted 6/92This spectacular 1983 is one of only a handful of wines made in that vintage that is likely to continue to improve for 4-5 more years. The nose offers super-ripe aromas of oranges, baked apples, and honeysuckle. This flamboyant wine possesses exceptional glycerin and extraction of fruit in addition to mind-numbing levels of alcohol. However, the acidity remains fresh and vibrant, resulting in a blazingly well-focused wine, which, while in its prime, is in no danger of cracking up.
