There is an earthy note to the 1999 Corton-Charlemagne with orange blossom, a touch of quince and orange peel - perhaps a little more forward than I would expect for a 1999. There is a slight oxidative nose on the entry. This does not represent a complex Corton-Charlemagne in the scheme of things, but it offers a pleasant herbaceous finish that is both fresh and vibrant.
