The 2000 Cote Rotie Cote Rozier is exotic and obvious (due to the Viognier added to the blend). While it does not possess a great deal of density, and is somewhat superficial, it is attractive, charming, and sensual. Sweet raspberry and cherry fruit intermixed with hints of honeysuckle, compost, and white flowers is followed by a medium-bodied, straightforward red with little depth, but no hard edges. Drink it over the next 6-7 years. This moderately sized domaine (approximately 17 acres) has come on strong lately thanks to the talented Christophe Bonnefond.Importer: A Christopher Cannan Selection, various American importers including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel.
