A brilliant effort, especially considering the vintage, is the dense ruby/purple-colored 2007 Cote Rotie Cote Rozier (100% Syrah). Pen ink, graphite, black raspberry, blackberry, flower, and frying lard notes are present in this wine. Superb richness, full-bodied power, good depth and length suggest it will drink nicely for 12-15 years.
