A 50-50 blend, the 2017 D'Arry's Original Shiraz-Grenache is a bit of a throwback to an age when Australians drank "dry red" when they didn't want to spring for Claret, Burgundy, or Hermitage. Black cherries, mint and vanilla all appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is round but also a bit herbal, finishing with hints of fresh sage, plus notes of licorice and some softly dusty tannins.
