The 2012 Dolcetto d’Alba presents a pure bouquet of red rose and cherry. It follows through to the palate with dusty mineral notes that recall polished river stone or crushed mineral. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015. As always, Enrico Rizzi delivers classic, even-handed expressions of Nebbiolo from his family estate that is perched along the backbone of a vine-covered ridge in Treiso.
