Given its huge overlay of tannin, the 1988 Barolo-Cannubi reveals a traditional style of winemaking. It is less flattering and the wine is even tighter and more austere than the Barolo-Bric del Fiasc. Nevertheless, aromas of almonds, cherries, and tar are present in this classic Barolo. Anticipated maturity: 1995-2005 . Importer: a Marc de Grazia Selection, Michael Skurnick Wines, Westbury, NY.
