Milmanda was one of the first barrel-fermented Chardonnays in Spain, and the 2011 Milmanda from Conca de Barberà has the telltale notes of butterscotch, popcorn, yeasts, smoke and lees while the palate is more tropical, with flavors of pineapple and mango. It has a supple and somewhat sweet profile ending quite tasty. A good commercial Chardonnay that seems a bit expensive for what it offers.
