The 2010 Milmanda is pure Chardonnay fermented (including malolactic) and aged in new oak barrels and as such it’s still quite marked by the oak, with some dusty aromas with strong balsamic notes of eucalyptus, mint and white and yellow fruit while the palate reveals more tropical flavors of fresh pineapple, high acidity and the spiciness from the barrel lingering on your tongue. A good oak-fermented Chardonnay which should age well. Drink 2014-2017.
Torres produces a couple of wines in Conca de Barbera but I only tasted the classical white Milmanda, their top-of-the-range, oak-fermented Chardonnay.
