The 2011 Barbera d’Alba is another fleshy, seductive red. Raspberries, flowers and spices meld together in this plush, exuberant Barbera. Aging in steel keeps the wine fresh and vibrant, not to mention incredibly appealing, especially for its modest price. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014.
There aren’t too many regions in the world where readers will find artisan, hand-made wines of this quality at these prices.
