This must be one of the great unknown estates working in the Costieres de Nimes, a remarkable treasure trove for wine values. The 2002 Costieres de Nimes rose is knock-out stuff, offering a light ruby color, a dry, vinous, vigorous, medium-bodied floral and cranberry/raspberry nose. With good texture as well as serious weight, this delicious effort is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache. It requires consumption over the next 8-10 months.
