The 2011 Couhins Blanc, a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Sémillon, has a zingy, vibrant bouquet with lime, dew-speckled green apples and cold stone. The palate is crisp and nicely focused, quite taut with lime and Granny Smith apples. There is a touch of shrillness towards the finish, but otherwise this is a fine contribution to the vintage from Chateau Couhins. Tasted January 2016.
