Newton continues to offer two Chardonnay cuvees - a regular wine and an unfiltered offering sold in a designer bottle. The limited production 1992 Unfiltered Chardonnay is more restrained than its 1991 sibling. Nevertheless, it is a blockbuster Chardonnay, with a huge, decadent nose of honeyed, buttery fruit and smoky, toasty, new oak. Full-bodied, wonderfully pure and rich, with admirable buttressing and well-integrated acidity, this wine possesses exquisite concentration and balance, as well as a long finish.
