The 2011 Lighea showcases the typical aroma and flavor profile of Zibbibo, but done in a dry, perfumed style. Sweet white peaches and flowers with tropical overtones all come together nicely in the glass. The 2011 is all about sensual perfume and grace. It is an ideal aperitif wine. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2014. I was quite taken with the wines I tasted from Donnafugata this year. Donnafugata is one of Sicily’s most visible estates, so it is great to see them doing so well.
