The Donnafugata 2019 Sicilia Zibibbo Lighea (a certified sustainable wine) opens a new chapter on the Zibibbo grape, also known as Moscato d’Alessandria in Italian. It presents a dry version of a grape that is most often air-dried to make dessert wines. Much like Malvasia from Salina that is also proposed as an easy-drinking table wine, the Lighea would taste great on a terrace at cocktail hour with small bites or tapas. Fragrant jasmine and peach blossom aromas rise from the bouquet of this lean-bodied white. Some 168,000 bottles were released.
