All three of these Chardonnays are tight, promising, full-bodied wines that require additional cellaring. The 1992 Chardonnay regular bottling (the only offering available to consumers as the Reserve wines are sold only to stockholders; I purchased them from a stockholding friend) is a tight, promising, full-bodied wine that requires additional cellaring. It offers a subtle bouquet, considerable body and acidity, and attractive oak, earthy, smoky, buttery popcorn-like flavors. My instincts suggest it will benefit from another 6-12 months of cellaring; it should keep for 5-6 years. Tel. (408) 678-1717.
