From renowned producer Rene Barbier, this 2002 exhibits plenty of tannin, but I still would not push its aging as I find most of these 2002s to possess fragile fruit. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet aromas of blackberries, minerals, and a cold steel-like character. Its fragrant personality is backed up by medium to full-bodied flavors with fine density, purity, and overall equilibrium. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
