Another high class example from the vintage, Usseglio’s 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is 30% each of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette with the balance Bourboulenc and Picpoul. It has tons of white fruits, citrus, green herbs and a beautiful, saline-like minerality to go with its medium-bodied, crisp, balanced profile on the palate. It’s a great example of the quality of the whites coming from the south of France today, and is worth seeking out.
