The 2011 Brao is a dark, meaty red produced with a mixture of 70% old-vine Carinena and the rest Garnacha from equally old vines, quite powerful and concentrated, with slightly rustic aromas of tree bark, spices and faint flowers intermixed with notes of dark cherries and flavors of black cherries and licorice, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. A powerful red with balance to age. Drink 2014-2018. Acustic is a Montsant winery created in 2003 by Albert Jane from Penedes, and the name refers to “unplugged” wines, without makeup, without amplification, showing just the pure wine, in an “acoustic” way.
