Beppe Caviola’s 2010 Dolcetto d’Alba Vilot is a plush, juicy wine loaded with dark varietal fruit backed up with the structure of Dogliani. It is a pretty wine, yet it is also a serious red that needs to be enjoyed with food. Dark blackberries, game, ash, licorice and leather add complexity on the muscular, tense finish.
