Importer Eric Solomon calls this, "the first garage wine to emerge from the Penedes region." The debut vintage, the 1999 (a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Carignan) was produced from yields of 17 hectoliters per hectare, and was aged in French oak. It boasts a saturated opaque purple color as well as tremendously intense notes of espresso, blueberries, blackberries, vanilla, and toast. Rich, full-bodied, intense, and promising, this blockbuster effort will be at its finest between 2005-2016+.
