The 1993 Cote Rotie La Viaillere Cote Brune, which is made and bottled by Rostaing, but still appears under the label of his father-in-law, Albert Dervieux, is a muscular, tannic, rustic wine with excellent color. It may ultimately be overburdened because of its high acidity and tannin. La Viaillere, a potentially great vineyard, generally hits the peaks in years of extraordinary sunshine, heat, and ripeness. Rostaing's portion of this vineyard averages 80 years of age. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; Tel. (510) 524-1524
