I don’t always give high scores to Cigare, but it’s almost always an interesting wine that marches to its own beat. The ’03 is really good. Syrah gives sturdy tannins and full body. Grenache adds a wealth of cherry and raspberry flavors. It’s hard to say what Mourvedre brings, perhaps a chocolaty richness. The result is a soft, appealing and complex Rhone-style red.——S.H.(6/1/2007)—— 90
