The 2005 XCLNT is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah, and 20% Garnacha. It was aged for 16 months in French oak A bit more internationally styled, the wine is a thick opaque purple in color. It delivers a classy bouquet of wood smoke, tobacco, blueberry, black currant, and cherry with a hint of chocolate in the background. This leads to a full-bodied, opulent wine with bundles of spicy, ripe black fruits which are already revealing some complexity. Give this nicely balanced wine another 3-5 years to blossom and drink it through 2025. The Care wines are produced by Bodegas Anadas. It was founded in 2000 and owns 100 hectares of vines.
