The flagship cuvee, the 2006 Mauro Terreus is sourced from a single vineyard of old-vine Tempranillo produced only in the better vintages. Like the V.S. bottling, it demonstrates a vibrant, energetic personality complementing its fragrant bouquet of exotic spices, lavender, and black fruits. Plush, rich, and layered, it has terrific volume, precision balance, and enough structure to evolve for 8-10 years. This lengthy effort will provide much pleasure through 2031. Bodegas Mauro is owned and operated by renowned vigneron Mariano Garcia. The estate is located just outside the border of Ribera del Duero so that it must carry the generic DO of Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon.
